It didn’t take long for Jenny to make an impact on the S1D team.  How, you ask?  With FOOD!  Although Jenny is known for being a stickler on organization and a clean workspace, she is most known for her cooking and baking that she generously shares with the whole team. When she’s not sharing her passion for baking at work she has been known to volunteer at the Red Cross serving cookies during blood drives.

Outside of work, Jenny keeps a busy schedule with her family; going to aquariums, mud bogs and bowling to name a few.  As for golf, well you won’t find her at the tee. She is however a self-appointed professional golf cart driver. Jenny’s work experience does not limit her to the shipping industry; she is also a Certified Medical Assistant and a Licensed Cosmetologist.   Her favorite part of working here at SOD is the diversity; she has something different to do everyday.

Two years ago, a window of opportunity presented itself to our team.  Our client was seeking a digital printing team that could bring her patented product and ambition to life.  Each company she met with was either unable or unwilling to invest time into her product.  After listening to her frustrations, challenges and goals at a trade show, we saw the endless potential in her product. Today more and more industries are finding ways to use their windows for additional advertising space, or to create custom environments.  Optically Clear Film is the latest way to display graphics on a window to view designs from both sides of the glass.  It is so clear the graphics look “painted on” the substrate. Unlike other clear decals that are used on windows, the optically clear film provides better clarity to create a sharp, crisp window graphic.  It will bond best with a smooth, non-tinted glass and is removable.

Source One Digital put this product to the test when we printed a “brain synopsis” for a Chicago college science department.  They chose to opt out of the use of white ink to keep the image transparent and it looks great as it spreads to cover the lab room windows.

Doug is our color expert! He has been a member of the S1D team for 14 years.  He has achieved G7 training, which awards S1D the honor of being a G7 Master Qualified Print Provider.  To Doug, the most rewarding part of his job is seeing the end product in the field.

Outside of work, Doug spends his time as a devoted dad of 4 children, loving husband, and an active member of his church.  As much as he loves bike rides and trips with the family, what ever you do, DO NOT think about taking away his TV time.

Speaking of Magnetics, there is also a new product on the market called PhotoMag.  This material allows quick changing of wall graphics and displays easily.  It is a two-part system using a magnetic receptor backer that is mounted to a wall, and can be painted over if desired, with a magnetic front printed panel that is interchangeable.  Some users for this material are wall murals, POP displays, promotional advertising, seasonal decor, and so much more.  The best part is that the front panel can be saved and used over and over for years to come.  The material is available in widths ranging from 37″, 54″, or 60″.
